Cantauri is the young or harvester wine with which Alonso González wineries began their journey back in 1982. Made in a traditional way , with the most advanced technology and without forgetting its roots.
Bodegas Alonso González has an area of 20 ha of the TEMPRANILLO variety , 2.5 ha of other red varieties (Garnacha, Mazuelo, Graciano, etc.). Located from 520 m. up to 580 m. above sea level which gives a special microclimate, protected on the right by the Sierra Cantabria and on the left by the Ebro river. Clay-calcareous soils.
After the manual collection, it goes to stainless steel tanks where it undergoes a carbonic maceration (whole grape) with a duration of between 9 and 14 days. It is then racked and continues with a second malolactic fermentation. Once this process is finished, it stabilizes and can be packed.
